In Native American stories, the horned frog is typically depicted as powerful
and respected. Is it any wonder that TCU’s Horned Frogs are involved in
over 200 student organizations and give over 60,000 hours of community service
each year? Horned Frogs are leaders in their community!
The wide variety of student organizations and opportunities for involvement
parallel the myriad thoughts, ideas, and interests of our student body.
The TCU Mission, to educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and
responsible citizens in the global community, is more than a slogan for us.
It is our way of life, our calling, our future.
Our student organizations
focus on topics ranging from honorary
organizations, such as Mortar Board and Omicron Delta Kappa, to
military affiliated groups.
On any given night, you might find a religious life club meeting next to an
organization discussing geological formations in Scotland. Our
Governance groups, including Student
Government Association (SGA), are critical to the success of our campus
community. SGA has created change that affects us all – including more
time off at Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break. -

The large number of Community Service
organizations demonstrate our commitment to our community, TCU or global.
There are currently nine different organizations solely dedicated to promoting
service. While most, if not all, of our student organizations do service,
these groups focus specifically on meeting the needs of certain populations –
all while having a blast doing it! -

Our clubs focusing on cultural and
international issues as well as our
global & political organizations
give Horned Frogs the opportunity to express their passions while learning.
From International Week to a Diwali dance performance to a debate between
Republicans and Democrats, there is always something going on to stimulate your
mind.
Many students are involved in social
fraternities and sororities at TCU. National or local affiliated
chapters allow Horned Frogs to connect in a social setting while strengthening
the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.
Horned Frogs are also involved in Departmental and Academic organizations to
strengthen their commitment to their majors. We know that working with our
faculty and deepening our understanding of our chosen fields will only assist us
as we make a difference in the world. We also use our skills and talents
to deliver top-rated and award-winning publications, like
The Daily Skiff and
Image Magazine. We continue to
broaden our minds and global knowledge through involvement in clubs focused on
the Fine and Performance Arts and other
Special
Interest groups, like American Sign Language Club and NAACP.
Staying true to our heritage, Religious and
Spiritual Life is important to Horned Frogs. From Islam to Buddhism,
people of all faiths can find an organization to further grow your spiritual
side.
Horned Frog pride runs rampant on our campus! Spirit organizations give us
the opportunity to paint ourselves purple and cheer on one of
18 NCAA Division I teams. We
also get involved in Sports clubs to
show off our competitive side and stay active. From Rugby to Paintball,
Horned Frogs are involved in a wide variety of athletic activities.
